Rome: A Wonderful City!

Rome

For six years we have returned to this magical city. Each visit presents a new opportunity to discover delicious restaurants, long walks in the city neighborhoods, and time to take in the cherished moments of the sites and sounds at one of the many piazzas this city has to offer. Our last visit included dinner at the Traverna Angelica restaurant. The food was fresh and delightful, and the owner was so welcoming. We will be returning again this year to this gem! Each year when we first arrive in Rome, we enjoy walking along the Tiber River to the lovely neighborhood of Trastevere. We sit in the main piazza and listen to the music being presented for all to enjoy; by a talented cello player or violinist. These moments are a nice way to ease into your Italy vacation. Of course the city is full of wonderful museums that should not be missed. The Vatican Museum is fascinating! The churches and cathedrals are all so unique. St. Peters Basilica is worth visiting several times, as each visit seems to allow you to see new details in the artwork and sculptures. Every neighborhood has churches along the way, so do take the time to stop and savor the awesomeness of the precious pieces. A very dynamic city for sure. We look forward to returning again and again.
